Ryan Kent's career has touched almost every part of a delivery team.

Starting out as a developer and tester, he moved through project management, co-led a PMO, and eventually found his way into Agile delivery as a Scrum Master and then Agile Coach. Each role taught him something new about how teams work, and more importantly, why they get stuck. Over time, a pattern emerged: the problem was rarely the people. It was the system.

That realization shaped everything that followed. Today Ryan leads a team of Delivery Optimization professionals as Director of Delivery Optimization, helping organizations close the gap between effort and impact. He is a Professional Kanban Trainer with ProKanban and shares tools and learning experiences for practitioners through K2optimization.

When he is not helping teams deliver what matters, he is a husband and father, who you will likely find exploring trails on a mountain bike or lakes and rivers by kayak.
